Massage Therapy

In 1996, I graduated university with a degree in Psychology and was in the process of applying for medical school when I was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. I was suffering with lower back pain and found relief with massage therapy. It was such a profound experience, I entered massage college in Winnipeg and I’ve been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1999. I wake up every day excited to come to work and to help you achieve all your wellness goals. I will collaborate with other health/medical professionals on your behalf to ensure you have the best possible care. I specialize in injury rehabilitation, injury prevention, postural assessments and relaxation treatments.

I entered the world of Yoga in 1997 and it was a very powerful experience. I loved it! My physical body became stronger, more supple, and the pain in my back disappeared. I left every class feeling mentally clear and emotionally grounded. Through yoga, I gained a deeper understanding into my own biomechanics and learned strategies to help treat various injuries and prevent chronic conditions.

The Haven is also a fun studio! We enjoy many laughs and many spirited discussions arise!

Classes at The Haven are SMALL. Yoga poses will be CUSTOMIZED for you and your specific needs. I focus on alignment and I provide modifications for injury and/or chronic pain situations. My classes are focussed on creating strength, stability, suppleness, body and breath awareness. Whatever is happening with your body, you will be met with compassion, understanding and patience. The Haven is a supportive and safe environment to help you explore, understand and heal your body (and mind 😉 You will be given the tools to create a home practice or be shown some simple poses/exercises to practice and help yourself feel fit and healthy!

I also specialize in Ageless (Senior) Yoga and Men’s Only Yoga.
